i've found the setlist for their tours this year and its chock full of the staples. those that i'm familiar with at least (gimme a break i'm only 18. and my exposure to The Police is faaaar less than the geezers who were around when they debuted)

Don't Stand So Close To Me

today i watched a tivo, i mean SmartTV recording of The Office. It was the episode with Phyllis' wedding and at the reception, Kevin had his Police cover band playing. woot! haha there was a bit with a drunken Karen prancing around to Every Little Thing She Does is Magic and the v v supportive jim with his cellphone up waving it like a lighter. How can you NOT love Jim lah. But yeah, there was a bit where they played When We Dance (aka the song i want played at my own wedding reception) and wouldja look at that! its not on the setlist :( x39478237

NOOOOOO
no Fields of Gold either.

now and then: the men of The Police, aka the bobbies, the mr.plods, the fuzz

Sting is a phenomenal performer. I remember this one gig he did, that was right after sept 11 and they happened to screen it on channel 5. it was in Tuscany, alfresco with fairy lights on the stage and a full orchestra of everything from spanish guitars to tablas (to perform Desert Rose of course). The rawness of that voice of his on Roxanne kills me everytime
SCOOOORE! i found it on youtube

plus he has l337 bass guitar skillz

rockstar jump!
fwee weet! look at Sting's guns yo! vin (if you ever read this) you've been pwned. schooled man, schooled!

back in the day, when he had billy idol hair
copeland's sunnies are TOO cool. he looks like a member of the Stones, no?
oh man i love this shot! Netta, i can't find any shots from our school days that were this candid (and i was shocked) someone, get me in a chokehold and i'll promise i'll make a silly face for the camera!
