i really REALLY love this picture.

because it was 15 degrees that day and she was in hotpants.
because Wonder Woman is female empowerment.
because the scarlet of that cape is a glorious shade of red.
because the cape is being caressed by the wind so lovingly.

because i remember how.. hollow the states made me feel. because i didn't return enriched or satisfied. because it was an entity that constantly undermined itself. because it was so fake and brash and i felt compelled to disrespect the country so many times. in the words of the brilliant Lily Allen:
