the use of :(

oh safina, my heart broke for you :( :(
i completely agree with the commentators that you weren;'t switching up your style enough and that you were too concerned with taking power shots and hitting hard. That's what Kuznetsova took advantage of. yup, you can't bludgeon your way through the opponent always. Have some finesse! Have some variety! and, from the looks of it, accuracy needs a lot of work

the way she cracked..oh man..on the brink of tears even! that's not a champion behaviour at all! you're world number one for god's sake :( that performance didn't justify the ranking at all, which was just heart-wrenching to watch man. She's been in this position- as a finalist- two years running already. And to lose the match on a double fault as well..runner-up has gotta suck man :(

Kuznetsova pointed out that Safina was "too tight", in the post-match interview. damn right she was! she was so tensed you could see the anxiety in her eyes man. It was tangible, the fear of the title slipping through her fingers steadily, as Kuznetsova kept her head on straight and played some fine tennis. It was emotionless tennis; efficient though.

i want Safina to win a grand slam this year.
and I want even more badly for Federer to win tomorrow. i will cry bitterly if he doesn't. i need him to win, just so that i can keep my faith in him. but ilu bb, no matter what!
Keeping the dream alive!
