I'm actually a bit sad that neither Button nor Hamilton won at Silverstone yesterday. No actually, i'm VERY sad. Home race, cmon! Sad is so generic, but it's the best word to describe it, right now, in all this sadness i'm wallowing in.
Not only cos they didn't win, but also cos they placed 6th and 16th respectively. OUCH.
On top of that, this was supposed to be the last race at Silverstone before moving to Donnington (where BBC's Big Weekend was held recently..hmm). I decided a bit too late in my F1 fandom that Silverstone is my favourite track. OOPS.
Dammit lah, i think Ecclestone is making a BIG MISTAKE moving it. There's so much history and tradition that Silverstone holds. It's a British icon. A racing stalwart of sorts- an integral cog in the motorsport machine.
And on top of that, Sri Lanka got beaten by Pakistan at Lords (for the Twenty20 cricket tournie). AGH. Being a supporter of the Indian cricket team, Pakistan winning is definitely not the most favourable outcome. I wouldn't have minded so much if the Lankas had won. The scrolling thingy (char, i need the word again) at the bottom of the screen of Eurosportsnews this morning called it an "emphatic 8-wicket victory". I still haven't been able to bring myself to read match reports or watch match highlights. Holdon, you know what sucks? I can't even watch match highlights on the amazing telly at home cos of the fact that cricket channels are EXPENSIVE and the sport is largely inaccessible in this country. askjda;fhas;fasf.
ANGST.
more angst. Tiger Woods isn't doing so good at Bethpage. He needs a 65 or better if he's gonna win the US Open. But then again, it's Tiger. He's the miracle man. But that miracle may be thwarted by the fact that he's been out of it for 8 months since his knee surgery and hasn't been quite as epic since.
nooooooooo :( :(
