dude. THIS is music.
compared to the same ole drivel they play on s'pore radio. come on guys you gotta switch it up. switch up the genres! a bit o' indie, a bit o' electronica (eg: deadmau5..i'm lookin at you jean), yknow what i'm sayin?
they can't be playing current top 40 tracks all the bloody time. there was a glimmer of hope this morning on 987 though..they actually played Fat Joe's Lean Back. woah. something actually from the mid noughties.
i like the "new" 913 though, cos they play tonnes of new music that the bigger stations don't necessarily pick up on as early. for eg, new Jay Sean ft Lil Wayne song debuted this week. Dya honestly think 987 would play it if it wasn't a potential massive hit? for pete's sake, they didn't even play his track "Stolen" back in 04. only power 98 did.hold up, has 987 even started playing Beyonce's Ego? i just checked their New This Week. nope. they aren't. they're NOW ONLY playing Archuleta's Touch My Hand. come on. wayyyy behind guys!
AND one more thing. 987 Stripped is a ripoff of Jo Whiley's Live Lounge. The other day, I heard this version of No Diggity (originally by Blackstreet & Dr Dre) covered by The Klaxons. I was like, AAW HELLL NO!, cos i'd heard it originally on her show on Radio 1. wahlaoo. that's just not right. that just pissed me off.
ok rant over.
now for some G0od tImeZxzz music.
I realised, from reading the comments, that I wasn't the only one who thought that the lead singer guy sounded a LOT like gary barlow and that the band's sound is VERY Take That. which is never a bad thing ;)
(which reminds me, i'd better go grab that Take That Live in Manchester DVD)
