mo' money mo' problems- zane lowe

deutschlaaaaaaanndddd!!! HO YEAHH. that was awesome footie. i relished every moment of it.

Basti had a terrific game :D set up shots for Klose and Ballack WOO! the way he played, made up for everything. and Klose, finally! one goal is better than nothing ah. i channel my love in your direction. ya for all you who say germany play boring football i hope you watched last night's match. if that wasn't convincing enough, i dunno what is. you know what though. i'd really like to see Jogi play marko marin and rene adler, partly cos i bigged them up in an earlier post.

Portugal on the other hand- Deco was fab. It occured to me how much Helder Postiga looks like Matt Bellamy. Ferreira was so non-commital and can be attributed to allowing the germans to score the latter 2 goals. There was something wrong with Carvalho, srsly. Yeah, it was all attack-oriented and a complete lack of focus on defence..which was their failing in the end.

some time during the match i asked Viv if they got permission from the White Stripes to use Seven Nation Army as the intro song for when the teams walk out on the pitch during Euro 08. it's ABSOBLOODYLUTELY BRILLIANT when the crowd does the intro of the song according to the bassline: "oh oh ohohoh ohhh ohh" :D

but ok, enough footie. yesterday i was a tourist, right and propa. the zoo AND the spore flyer. what circumstance.

"eh wanna go zoo not?"

"ok set"

sundahh :D mates since kindergarten, just like with shara.
"damn fun dey".
i couldn't even recognize the zoo anymore..the way it was laid out is all different- well at least it feels different. we did a whole lot of walking and a whole lotta trailing Sinders who has the coolest job EVER, presenting shows during feeding time and handling various animals.

so sinders brought out this milk snake to the resturant area and did a mini presentation and said diners could take pics with it if they wanted. she's damn pro snake handler can! I thought it was a coral snake at first *poisonous* but she explained the difference- it's got to do with whether or not the red band touches the black or the yellow band. red band next to black band is a milk snake= safe.

HARLOW i'm A DORK and this snake is DAMN COOLZ and i'm not scared of it like i'm absolutely terrified of cats/dogs/other domestic animals which makes me weird.

Sinders doing her job :D i love her announcer voice and how confident she is. and the zoo outfit looks too cute..and damn comfortable if i might add. that's inuka the polar bear who is fkin mazzive, and is actually messing around with a watermelon in this shot. later on, the keeper threw a live fish into the tank and let inuka catch it. wtf. i thought that was damn sadistic ah. you should've seen the way the kids eyes lit up as they saw inuka paw the fish and then grab it in its mouth underwater. i kept nudging karthik uncomfortably cos it was way too nat geo LIVE for me. but cool in a sith way.

and then rushed back, knackered after all that walking/exploring, and headed to the spore flyer with la familia. used viv's bday as an excuse to go, but he wasn't really interested ah :P twas a good opp to take gramps and grammaw out . they enjoyed it. london eye PWNS though. gramps is rather proud of me that i've travelled quite a bit, which is a nice feeling. Gramps: "Oh you've been on the Eye! *jealous look*" heh. He kept talking about the Roue de Paris -which isn't actually in Paris anymore-and how he didn't dare to go on it haha.

mehh. not as pretty as the Eye. but it'll do. got a pretty good view of the F1 track btw vennie. they're building all new stretches of road for the pit lanes, just below the Flyer. and it lights up at night, which is cool.

p.s.: Coldplay at Brixton Academy broadcast live on BBC Radio 1 :D didn't win tix off coldplay.com, so this was the next best thing. Zane did an interview with them just before the live performace and note to self: his fave song is Cemetries of London. got my copy of Viva La Vida (let's not be pedantic and call it Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends) just in time too :D discussed it with Sundah whose music taste I respect so much, and we agreed that they sound Damn U2 on the entire album, but we'll forgive them for it. we blame it on Brian Eno, who is in Chris Martin's words, "the steven spielberg of music".

Chris Martin referred to the Whoa-ing at the end of Life in Technicolour as "the bon jovi bit" :D LOVEEEE!! that's like, the gem of a track off the album and it doesn't even have lyrics. WIN.

"Till (from Rammstein) makes Marilyn Manson look like Kate Nash"- Zane on Rammstein's live act LOLLL. and then he spun Du Hast :D cos coldplay met the band at Big Day Out when they first started out and wondered to themselves if they were at the right festival, according to Chris :D

they were talking about the groove/hip hop vibe on the track "Strawberry Swing" and suddenly Chris spouted "wika wika wild wild west!" as an eg of hip hop and zane pointed out that hip hop has moved on since then ( :P thanks will smith) and asked if that's what he said to Jay-Z when he collabo-ed with him "Wikka wika wildwildwest" ROFLMAO :D

this track in particular,Strawberry Swing i can imagine Bono singing it, honest to God.
