btw Coldplay's new single Violet Hill is LOVE! you can still recognize that its coldplay, but the new use of a folksy sound and darker elements are immediately apparent. Its a new direction alright. From the heavier guitar chords to the noticeable lack in falsetto use by Martin, it all just fits, and works for me. Maybe its cos they worked with Brian Eno, who's worked with the knights of darkness Depeche Mode (haha, knights of darkness?! wtf anjax)..but even Eno can't take away the lovely outro, aka my favourite bit of the song. Just Martin's vocals and the delicateness of the pure piano sound...*chills*
