ok.so i was watching VH1's 100 Greatest Songs from the 90's countdown (been watching it for a couple of weeks now..cos they only show like, 20 songs each week) and i KINDA knew who was gonna be number 1.

duh, Smells Like Teen Spirit.

and then they started talking about the loss of the genius that was Kurt Cobain, and a little part of me died cos i don't think we'll ever have someone as musically revolutionary and brilliant as him for a while more. i wasn't generation x, and i was only 5 when he took his own life. I discovered his music later in life, but it hit home nonetheless..years after he was gone. Cobain lives on.
thank goodness Dave Grohl is still around, making music though. bless him.

they're one of the best things i brought back from Germany (besides my München Bavaria tshirt haha). i couldn't really ignore them..they only ever played this song and Crazy Frog (eew),akon's lonely (eew again) and tonnes of techno and trance on MTV Germany all day, and by the end of the trip i kinda got the chorus down.
