jay's status appears to be at an all-time high

they showed HELP, the Beatles movie on BBC entertainment for CNY! *kowtows to people at the station who made it happen* oh mann..the movie is so tRipPy!! their Scouse and their swagger, their matchy suits and PJ's, their trip to the Bahamas LOL! there was even a bit where Macca got shrunken by some magic potion thingy, and the title of the scene came up as "The exciting adventures of Paul on the floor" LOOOOLLLLLLL :D :D

edit: i found the vid!

i had no idea this pic was from the movie! but i just had it in my collection..how convenient for this post pls. This the bit where they're chucking the sabotage hose full of deadly nerve gas over the side of a window in Buckingham Palace (where they're hiding, rather unsuccessfully, from the bad guys) and their look of *mockshock/horror* is cos the Queen's Guards who're doing their 'footdrill' in the courtyard below the window, crumple to the floor upon exposure to the gas.

you know what was even better?! they showed the episode of Later with Jools Holland in which Macca performed, right after the movie :D
he even did "Lady Madonna" together with Jools at the end..both of them on piano!! and of course he played "Dance Tonight" which was a treat in itself..complemented only by the presence of Editors, Tom Morello AND bjork (keeping it real. uh i mean..keeping it strange yo.) on the show. oh yeah! Adele did a song too! Mark Ronson worked with her, so she's automatically in my good books. They performed together when he did the BBC Electric Proms (which was awesome in itself)

when Macca was talking to Jools about the newish dancey feel tracks like Dance Tonight had on Memory Almost Full, he mentioned that the song came out of acquiring a left-hander mandolin hence the "hoedown" feel..to quote Macca, "People will get down there and hoe" (hi5 jeanette!) oh yeah, netta, get the track "Ever Present Past"...extreeeemely catchy :)

speaking of Macca, today i was watching My Grammy Moments (in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the awards show) and their moment number icantrmb was the collabo that Jay Z, Linkin Park AND Macca where the former two sang Numb/Encore first, then Chester broke into Yesterday and was joined on stage by Paul :D HELL YEAH! LP, AND Jay Z, AND PAUL MCCARTNEY *the angels were singing hallelujah*

"Jay hova! thank you, thank you, you're far too kind"

convo's with rakk, about Sweeney Todd/Tweeney Sodd:
-miley cyrus as "Tweeney Todd: Butcherer of Pop Music"
-Lucy On The Floor With Blood sung to the tune of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"
-Is destiny fate?..which is a question that induces pseudo-philosophical raagas

now that bit was surely idiosyncratic.

yesterday was godawesome.. i'd been looking forward to it for quite awhile, to play "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock" for the very first time at vennie's place. I derived great satisfaction from being told that I Rock. so much gratification from an xbox game man. I battled Tom Morello to play the encore with him, which was Rage Against The Machine's Bulls On Parade and Pre battled Slash (and beat him the first time round..*up the irons!!*)to play Welcome to the Jungle with him..too fkin cool yaar. Though getting the whammy to work properly was a bitch and usually required a two-man job; one to hit the notes, and one to jiggle the whammy. and 'jiggle' is such an un-rockstar word..i should be shot.

edit: wah fkkk!! i just found out that if we'd made it to level 7 we could've played Knights of Cydonia WAHLAOOO!! vennie, we HAVE to come back!!

wahey! i've also learnt how to mahjong woohoo! i'll 'pong' you ah, watch out *threateningly* thank you su, for the skillz transfer :D

"When it's so beyond awesome that it's fcking awesome, it enters the realm of fawesome"
