Do you want it? Do you need it? Can you feel it? Tell me

you heard it here first! (unless you own Kylie's "X")

Kylie Minogue+ Calvin Harris = "In My Arms" aka her latest single yo!
his sound on the track is SO distinctive.
he loves the 80's, i also love the 80's, we all love the 80's.
its a bit sexy, a bit grimy and so incredibly danceable to

i can't wait for the video. what if calvin's in it! :D

speaking of videos, one of my fave kylie offerings "Love At First Sight". did you see her pointy yellow heels!! and she looked hot even though she was just in a tank and cargo pants, with a whistle on a lanyard round her neck and a bright orange bangle up her arm. remember her "can't get you out of my head" days? i'm so proud to be part of the generation that experienced the kylie rebirth

for her new album. love the bowie-esque lightning motif. all hail the 80's

Quite possibly my favourite video of last year. ok whatever, it IS my favourite.

"The Girls"

what a lethal combination. Kylie's old skool sensibility and always fresh vocals with calvin's FKIN MAD beats
i have yet to hear of a club that plays Calvin

which reminds me of something long overdue...my albums of 2007.

I Created Disco- Calvin Harris
In Rainbows- Radiohead
Favourite Worst Nightmare- Arctic Monkeys
Version- Mark Ronson
Kala- MIA
Shotter's Nation- Babyshambles
Memory Almost Full- Paul McCartney (screw heather, i'm your's macca)

other notable mentions (only cos i haven't heard a majority of/the entire album):

Neon Bible- Arcade Fire
Yours Truly, Angry Mob- Kaiser Chiefs
Young Modern - Silverchair (ok i heard the entire thing- thanks Netta- but...it just wasn't as special as their older material)
Because of the Times- Kings of Leon
The Boy With No Name- Travis
Math + English - Dizzee Rascal
Era Vulgaris- Queens of the Stone Age
Dethalbum- Dethklok (rock on)
Red Carpet Massacre- Duran Duran

linkin park's Minutes To Midnight. possibly the biggest disappointment, for me at least. i've given it time and i STILL can't connect with the sound or the lyrics or the vibe which is quite frankly, shocking. i feel like a teeny part of my LP love has died

jay z's American Gangster i'm still working through but i think i will appreciate it SO MUCH MORE if i go and watch the movie. mob movies (and epic sagas) are my favourite anyways
