everything in its right place

this has to be the best picture from the ICC World Twenty20 finals yesterday
Oyeh CHAKDE PATTEHH!!!! (yes, that IS shahrukh khan)

one of my favourite scenes from Khabi Kushi Khabi Gham is the buildup to when Kajol's character (anjali..hehe) is first introduced. In that fictional setting, India had just won some cricket match so the people of the district of Chandni Chowk were getting their bhangra on and celebrating in true yindian style (with dhol drums and flags and music and singing and dancing). So there's the indian flag which strategically hides her face as she runs and then bam, the music rises in a crescendo and kajol's gorgeous face is revealed with her jubilantly proclaiming "Jheet Ghaiyi!'" (we won!!) i swear i felt the indian pride rise in my chest again when later on in the story, Rahul (SRK) and Anjali's son sings Jana Gana Mana at some school function in England (where they have moved to since their inter-class marriage was deemed inappropriate..aiya typical bollywood forbidden love story lah) in front of all the white people. That one gets to me every single time I CAN'T EXPLAIN WHY

edit: oh look i found a vid!

but yes anyways, India won for the first time in 24 years (against Pakistan summore! *punches fist in air*) with a brand new team full of young 'uns. The talent is phenomenal..Irfan Pathan hel-loooo! Yes, they won by 5 runs (only! nail biting yaar). I was watching the highlights on Sportscentre just now and boy oh boy was india on form. Just last week, Yuvraj Singh with 6 sixers in one over..maaaan. Indian fielding was excellent..its just one of those days when all elements meshed together perfectly. yay india! :D

6 points from 7 games.rawr. It was always going to be a tough match, compounded by the fact that Lamps and Drogba were missing and that the ref had sawdust for brains. Footie is essentially a 11 vs 11 activity, so if a bad tackle that insignificant was given a straight red, what hope is there for english referees and english football?

Grant is RUBBISH, Steve Clarke was doing everything please.
The players though..there was a fighting spirit; they didn't just roll over and die.
I refuse to believe that Terry had anything to do with JM leaving.

sporadic, incoherent, short sentences end here. let's just wait and see..
