now all i have is my copy of 'Tank" on a loop/ my itunes churning out ADF tracks in a sad sad attempt to make up for what i missed out on last night.

oh. i also missed out on Bobby Friction and Nihal's dj set (that was scheduled to take place right after the ADF set). after listening to them over BBC Radio 1 for 3 years running, missing out on their actually coming down to Singapore is equally heart-wrenching. These fella's are the pioneers of bringin the british asian urban nation to the masses for Pete's sake!

then there's Mark Ronson to save the day. on a collabo with Daniel Merriweather (whom he did "Stop Me" with), he remade Klaxons' GOLDEN SKANS :D

this version has soulful vocals and trumpets/cornets and a bongos in the background. and there's even a bit where Daniel throws in a line from Phil Collin's in the air tonight. it is ACE

Mark Ronson aka my fave producer. There's plenty of producers to choose from..Kanye, Timbaland, DangerMouse, but how often do you chance upon a white guy with so much of a soul influence that translates so effortlessly to his music.

of course it helps loads that he is QUITE a looker

and when "The Girls" came on the radio in the car yesterday my dad asked if he was black or white zomz. well yeah actually the first time i heard it i thought he was black too. my mum on the other hand thinks that he's such a jerk cos he gets all the girls no matter if they're black/white/asian/mixed/spanish/italian/french/scandinavian/tall/short/brown haired/blonde haired/big/skinny/carrying a little bitty weight girls
