cairo cityscape. view from the top. the top in this case was the massive verandah of the Mohamed Ali Mosque aka the Saladin Citadel of Cairo. if Saladin sounds familiar its cos he was the muslim conqueror dude in Kingdom of Heaven.the beauty, or actually, the paradox lies in the fact that in the forefront you see the accomodation of the commoners and in the back, you have the gleaming white and silver buildings. they coexist. its what you read in your Human Geog textbooks coming to life. overcrowding, pollution, the works...
