i dont actually think i've blogged about chelsea yet. well just in case you didn't know, they're my favourite premiership team and i hate having to repeat this again and again, but i didn't switch sides just cos chelsea were champions last year. God i'm not THAT shallow, c'mon gimme a break! i stopped supporting united cos the bloody quality was gone. i missed the days when sherringham and both nevilles, and cole and becks were still there. now THAT was first rate football.
but with chelsea, its quality through and through, and my fave of the lot is john terry. captain and central defence, with an excellent read of the game and a natural-born leader who isn't all cocky and slap-worthy like SOME captains are. love him. such a team player. and even as a defender, he's scored a respectable number of goals as a set piece.
and he did it once again last saturday against middlesborough. woohoo! well actually twas an own goal that deflected off some fool's shin but honestly, it would've gone in anyway! haha! beauty of a header. completely unmarked and wide open. took it like he was supposed to. for soccer noobs, thats terry on the left in my pic. and that's spaniard asier del horno on the right congratulating his teammate. he too is very versatile and usually moves up from his left midfield position to feed the ball to joe cole.love love love chelsea. watch all of their matches. the first 6 or so this season i watched from start to end, (not counting the one's that were during my o's) and i enjoyed every minute of it. such team spirit and such entertaining football.i will admit there was a bit of a slump for a series of 3 games, but other than that, watched the matches for as much as possible. their boro match was unexciting. and even more so, the liverpool match, with that joke of a player peter crouch making a fool of himself once again. but not as bad as the time he MISSED A PENALTY. gaylord martha fawker.
so anyways, being the avid chelsea fan, i signed up for their weekly newsletter and i noticed that there was a christmas offer on this Cd compilation of the chelsea player's and mourinho's top 20 songs.
i'm having trouble copying and pasting the entire list but if you really wanna see the whole list, its at: http://www.chelseamegastore.com/stores/chelsea/products/product_details.aspx?pid=24050&portal=WT1W5CMO
so anyways here are a few highlights:
john terry- So amazed(luther vandross)
frank lampard- stuck on you (lionel ritchie)
practically everyone else had chosen black music as their track to be included. except for Hernan Crespo who chose "seven days in sunny june" . God bless him for that! haha and del horno who chose californai waiting by Kings of Leon! WHAO! righteous, dudes!fantastic stuff. but dudes, all i want for xmas is the women's fit, away jersey (for chelsea of course) which retails for $50+ at queensway. haha. fat chance. yeah, i'm ready for a jersey. summore its their centenary year. the last time i got a centenary jersey twas for Man Utd and it was reversible, white on one side and gold on the other.and that was in primary 6. yes. definitely time for a new jersey.
alright then, enough of sitting cross-legged and blogging at ridiculous hours. i'm off!
