Singapore is becoming so fkin cool ok. earlier this week got an email about Taste Of Chaos- the international version- at fort canning in november featuring Atreyu (i LOVE the name of the band cos of the Neverending Story connection), Story of the Year, MUCC (jap rock PHWOAR) and As I Lay Dying. wow. this is insane. and AX7 is coming too..it's incredible that they're coming back so fast after being here for singfest last year. but the biggest and bestest news so far is Mötley Crüe here in October on their ONLY ASIAN STOP. FUCK LAH, i can't go. it's times like this i wish i'd cleared my A's last year so that i don't feel so guilty about going for multiple gigs/events. It's max once a month now..F1 in sept, kanye in Oct and pretty much nothing in December.

wah, what if they bring Metallica down next? i'll be damn scared to go if the gig is at fort canning sial..will stand one side and enjoy, i think it'll get a bit too hardcore anywhere else in the crowd.
Speaking of Metallica, i remember when the St Anger album came out..i was in sec 3 then, and we were moved to the temporary dingy container classroom things in A.S.S. The thing about these classrooms is that, since they were away from the main building, and cos they were airconditioned and sorta soundproof, we used to hook up someone's discman(ya, back in the day)/ipod to the speakers in the classroom every morning before assemble (starting as early as 6.30..depends who got to school first. So sometimes we'd have visitors, like one fella called Hadi, who's a damn good looking mat. One day he came in and popped his newly acquired St Anger into the discman that was hooked up to the sound system but empty, and PHWOAR, it was a metal concert/wake up call all at once that fateful school morning. HAHA some of the girls just walked out of class with disgusted looks on their faces (ok fine, it was turned up pretty loud)..but it was pretty amazing. Hadi skipped to the title track St Anger, and since only him and i knew the lyrics having metalheads for cousins (ya i was damn cool last time also)- we purposely yelled all the "blanked out" curse words in the chorus of the song which goes a little something like:

it was after that that hadi and i added each other on friendster (HAHA- that's damn rite of passage in sec school)
i must say though, my fave track off that album is Frantic. I think its the most melodic track...frantick-tick-tick-tick-tock. and there's this line that goes "my lifestyle determines my deathstyle". thats a damn hardcore thing to say.
p.s: can i just say much i adore the character Gio from Ugly Betty played by Freddie Rodriguez?

p.p.s: and oh yeah, i got my hairr didd right thurr..i have "gary oldman as sirius black" curls. i dunno if that's a flattering comparison but its the most accurate. ok wait, my hair is "cleaned up sirius black a la HP movie 5" when its freshly washed and styled. Other than that its "sirius black in azkaban"..especially when your classmates use your hair as extensions of their own when taking photos at the airport, before sending JH off. my hair is longer than his though..and my hair is jet black, not the lovely shade of auburn his hair is. uh..you'll see it when you see it lah
