and the day that i was named a "Plan B" and a "Plan C" concurrently.
That line by The Joker in The Dark Knight: Madness, as you know, is like gravity- All it takes is a little push...
Yo homes, smell ya later!
big up Pre for the pic.
and big up the Fresh Prince of Bel Air for being the best shiz on tv in the 90's *raise the roof* besides Batman cartoons of course. which i watched on the cartoon network's Bat-To-Bat Bat-A-Thon on saturday..unwittingly jags and shara were watching it too :D
But that wasn't the version we used to watch as kids- it was the modern version which heralded the creation of the Justice League (which is a bit gay). Our version of Batman was in "The Animated Series" with the brilliant theme song borrowed off Danny Elfman's original theme fro the first movie version by Tim Burton. "Ner ner ner-NER ner" :D Our version's batman was in Sega games yo! and you could pick DC vs Marvel heroes eg: Batman vs Iron Man and play against your bro and PWN HIS ASS (or get pwned. heh.)
i dont think we realised it until now, but me and my bros respekt Batman as much as we do Star Wars. It's pretty up there alright. I didn't have Ken dolls (or at least i don't remember having any), so ash's Batman was my Barbie's love interest (albeit a much shorter/smaller love interest). i'm fucking serious man. And upon entering Movie World in Gold Coast, Australia, we made a beeline for the Batman Ride and WAITED IN LINE to take a pic with Batman and Robin and the Batmobile. the picture is still in the hall. and i remember giving a family friend (who shall remain unnamed) SO much shit for buying the Poison Ivy (who's a maneater and bitch) action figure but i was too young to find the appropriate words to hurl. now though, the words come easily. THAT'S SO Gh3Y! and wahey, whaddya know, possibly my favouritest U2 song ever "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" is off the Batman Forever OST.
revelations of unplanned fanaticism.
