ok wtf. WHY BASTI, WHY did you get sent off??? like Jogi said, you've done the team a disservice :\ un-cool man. Is it me or does it look like Poldi's doing all the goal scoring leg work? Klose has been kinda quiet, nein? Lahm was exceptional as always. was watching Sportscenter the day after the match and there was this one fan who went apeshit on Lehmann. I think everyone's finding it hard to move on, post Oli Kahn :( (speaking of Sportscenter, Rita Zahara should be let go of. Her intonation is CHIA LAT CHIA LAT, she looks and sounds plastic, and sports reporting is the last thing she should be doing. Get rid of her lah, please. I swear i've seen Colette trying not to laugh at her fake accent and bad pronunciation so many times. it's a joke)
Italy vs Romania
ok char, i know i said i was gonna go hit the sack and all, but after half an hour of trying to sleep, i decided to wake up and watch footie anyways. plus I didn't really wanna miss the Group C matches heh ;) caught the last bit of Italy vs Romania. Oh Mutu :( he looked so crushed after he missed the penalty, my heart went out to him. But credit to Buffon too lah- what a save. The Italians kept pushing and pushing..esp Luca Toni. pity that he didn't score anything.
France vs The Netherlands
cos of the "insomnia situation", stayed up to watch La France vs Les Pays-Bas too. what the fark *tears airs out of head in excitement* that was an INCREDIBLE match!! kuyt, van persie, robben, sneijder. ROBBEN'S GOAL made me smile i have no idea why! it was an IMPOSSIBLE angle, and i dont think you can practice for this sort of thing? (i dunno, enlighten me Jags) but he put it away! aiya from the moment he came on, he was just electric..you wouldn't believe he'd just spent months recovering from a groin injury. ORANJE indeed.
France on the other hand- Henry is such a prick. And honestly Makele should have been sent off- ref salah act again. He should've gotten a couple of yellows and a couple of straight reds.
Spain vs Sweden
Pinpoint passing from the Spanish end and constant pressure from the Swedes. The ref though..wow, he was a piece of work wasn't he! what a jerk. first he completely ignored the penalty chance for spain and then he blew the halftime whistle just as villa and co were mounting the attack. wtfffff. and in the 2nd half after ljundberg changed his shoes on the sidelines, he didn't allow him back on just as Sweden was mounting their own attack AND he didnt allow for a swedish subsitituiton even though the ball went out of play TWICE. dude. aiya, but quite heartpain for Sweden cos they defended spectacularly all through the game and the one slip up cost them Villa's second-last minute goal. YEAH DEUTSCHLAND, WATCH AND LEARN HOW THE SWEDES DEFEND ALRIGHT??
didn't bother watching Greece vs Russia. watched Dan in Real Life instead.

hilarious :) it made me go all grin-y. "Venga chicos, yeah!" in that chav accent HAHAAA!! and the way he shakes his head at the English people :P
