we can be heroes, forever and ever

How do you go forward after having lost your captain within the first 10 minutes. Honestly? and when frickin JT is your captain, that just dents the morale of the fans and the team trillionfold and ohhh :( it was just dreadful to see him in so much pain- i felt winded, like after a blow to the stomach. almost like when i got my results, a shock/horror, armageddon sort of winded. like, this is the end, we're screwed, even though there wasn't the slightest anyone other than Heskey had a remote chance of scoring- if ANYONE was gonna pull a stunt on united, that is. considering all the elements that lead up to the concurrent super sunday matches, including the season-long run-in and the goal difference and the final matchups, it was pretty much written in stone on that fateful day who was gonna emerge champion. i know it was hoping against hope, but can you fault me for hoping?

the defence is NEVER the same without JT. plus carvalho wasn't there to hold down the fort after he was stretchered off. but kudos to cashley, beletti and alex for stepping up to the plate. I could go into details, but all that matters is that the entire team deserves credit for putting up such a fight all season. I mean, they had to put up with the departure of the demi-god that is JM(reverence iz not gh3y) AND a rdiculously injury-ridden season..they still made it to the number 2 spot in the league AND to the champions league final. Tell me Chelsea FC hasn't been a team with heart, nothing but heart this season. I'm incredibly proud of them and i'm proud to be a Blues fan.

JT with Summer Rose.

JT's the man lah. He came back on the pitch after the match, to announce that he hadn't broken any bones (he dislocated his shoulder..and they popped it back in on the way to hospital. like it was the most normal thing ever) and to say that we're gonna PWN at MOSCOW BITCHEZZZ. ok no, he didn't say that, but you know that's what's going down. ya'll.

as for the new kits? i dunno..not too crazy about them. it looks damn..old skool, like from when i first started watching footie. ok old school is not a bad thing, but i guess i'll just have to get used to them. cos imho the only sports attire that should look remotely retro is casual sunday cricket outfits for men, woolen pullover vests, white trousers and all.

and Lamps, my other hero, with Luna. what can i say, i love father-daughter moments.

you're a trooper, and i hope we see at least a flicker of your former gloriousness on the pitch at the finals.

And now , for the champions league. MOTHER RUSSSSSIAAA HERE WE COME
