the boyzz made it straight to the top AGAIN. they beat Oasis, the Monkeys, Babyshambles and Kasbian. can you say- STIFF COMPETITION!?!
read the NME banner at the top..mind you, this was chose by the people. just like Jo Whiley's list of the biggest bands of 2006 which was determined by the discerning British public :P (December 27th 2006 entry) Unfortunately they couldn't be there personally cos they were touring in Asia -taiwan actually. but they did beam a message over and stuff available at:

they're performing live, at the end bit of Stockholm Syndrome or something and the camera pans to Dom from the back while he's doing his drumming thang. the camera dude passes him the award and after he does the acceptance speech on behalf of the band (in which he says 'SHIT i'm knackered' -HAAAHHHAAAA!), there's like 5 more seconds of dom whacking the shit out of his drum set, during a live performance mind you, from the back... SURREAL!
Best int'l band: MCR. uh, lets just say i'm not too fond of them...the bottom line is: YANKS ARE OUT OF THE PICTURE FOR ME. except for The Killers :)
Best new band: ooooh-we-x5 ah. that was s'posed to be the intro of golden skans btw *___* Viva la nu-rave Revolution!!
Best live act: oh come ON! this one should've gone to Muse too, no contest! even Kasabian knows that!
Best album: what a shame, Black Holes & Revelations was on that list too. but i definitely think the Monkeys deserved to win this one. fo 'sure. one helluva LP, PLUS it came out waaaay before BH&R
Best track: just so you know, the other nominess were-

Best Vid: Tim Burton got street cred yo. then again, tis an outrage that Cardio-machine dance troupe Ok Go! didnt win for Here It Goes Again :(
Best TV Show: Netta, that one's for you. (i only ever saw the "I dont like cricket" episode though...
Best Radio Show: Zane m'boy!
the award itself is in the shape of a..well, a bronzey hand putting up the middle finger. LOLZXZXZX!! its soo lifelike its scary :P
