in great music we trust

yay for Klaxons! the name already damn cool ah, don't deny it. from what i've heard of their material, they sound very ethereal and sci-fi, fragile and utterly delightful. i'm lost as to what genre to chuck them in...i've given up. but they HAVE been described as New/Nu-Rave..go figure.

this track in particular, Golden Skans is so frickin catchy..wanlin caught me humming it to myself during pe *facepalm* I don;t care what the lyrics actually are (although they ARE a reference to a piece of literary work by some J.G Ballard and his short story "Myths of the Near Future") The track is highly produced and so slick, that when i saw them perform live on Jools Holland, i was sorely disappointed. but the video in all its silk ribbons and camp glory takes the cake. and the boys have lovely hair. and the opening credits are so..ILM (Industrial Light and Magic..you know, the people behind Star Wars and Jurassic Park and MI:III and POTC...you get the idea..)

ok enough talking just watch it plsthx!

P.S.: i cannot BELIEVE Acidhouz danced to Uphold by Talvin Singh!!! *MIGHTY CHUFFED*
