Spartans, tonight we dine in hell!

that was my subnick on msn a week ago...i think (time passes so fast..its unnerving). i nicked the line off the trailer for "300" which is based on a Frank Miller (comic book noir god) and is a ferocious retelling of the graphic novel on Greece vs Persia. actually, its 300 Spartans against the 100's of thousands of defenders of the kingdom of Persia. Spartans are superior warriors (supposedly)...think: the Myrmidons from Troy aka the men who followed Achilles and you'll get the idea

the trailer is mindblowing. dark, violent, gritty and epic. just what i need. (dammit lah its rated R in the states...i'm not betting on it getting below m18 in our parts *sianzxzx*) the cinematography is amazing and the best part is that it was all shot on blue screen! i'm a sucker for sci-fi so shoot me. and the backing music has this gritty electronica quality about it that is so indefatigable to me..you hear it in Map of the Problematique by Muse and Martyr by Depeche Mode... more so the latter.

screencaps RULE! the golden bald dude's the king of persia his throne is so regal, i bask in its ram-headed glory. he looks like a hindu god lah..i feel like i have to prostrate before him :P haha..that's rodrigo santoro btw, Aka V V HOT hispanic architect dude from Love Actually and biker boy from Charlies Angels: Full Throttle. david wenham aka Faramir, narrates and Gerard Butler from Phantom of the Opera is the Spartan King. its so lovely to see non A-listers..but then again, how DO you define A-list?

2 weeks in, i have succumbed to emo-ness. its pathetic. i'm wasting away ALREADY. decisions, indecisions. Gosh, i'm a KID dammit! i shouldn't have to be put through this! :(
