Wolfmother made it to an ipod commercial. now they're ready for world domination.
if this is anything to go by and you happen to say to yourself, "hey, not bad!" judging from a 30 second clip, please also check out their other zeppelin-esque old school rock numbers. pure rock and roll:
- woman
- dimension
- white unicorn
- joker &the thief
edit: NO i'm not plugging Ipods :P i have no affiliation to either creative or apple actually, although i DO own a Neeon meself but that doesn't mean that i MIND ipods. Ipod's dont have FM radio capabilities so that sucks cos it was lovely to be able to tune in to NileFM (in egypt duh) and big FM (Stuggart-wide station, Germany) and TheRock FM (in NZ) mostly cos you get to discover musical gems from those parts i.e:
- Fettes Brot from Deutschland lass die finger von emanuela, G&Kel *wink wink*. German hip hop, white boy style. saw them on German MTV first, but i DID hear them on the radio later on during the ridiculously long coach ride to the black forest. them, and Crazy Frog -_-". and it helps loads that Flash Müller(woot! i got the umlaut on the u!) looks loads like John Terry. the resemblance is uncanny!
- Nancy Ajram and Iwan from Lebanon. but they all sing in Arabic anyways so they're famous from Egypt to Qatar and even in Dubai. basically any country that has Arabic as a national language. and they're bloody famous..faces plastered on billboards in Cairo and even in the poorer regions of Aswan, they sell their cassette-tape (old skool!) equivalents of LP's. the girls in the vids are STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL and the guys are WHOO! *fans self* but more important than that, the music is incredibly catchy and uses "habibi" alot haha :P
- Breaks Co-op and Steriogram from NZ. Breaks has ZANE LOWE woot!! which is good enough reason for me to like them. and the latter had like, one famous song namely Walkie Talkie Man. v catchy happy punk rock with a VMA-worthy vid..and that was it.
good stuff, TRUST ME.
