i am overwhelmed by kasabian (yeah ok jeanetta its ka-say-bian, not cassa-bian :P) love. gritty, sauntering, swaggering in your face rock..just the way i like it done. and omfg i can't believe i haven't mentioned them in my two years i've been blogging! ANJALI RAGUSSPAGEDDYSAUCE YOU SODDING MINGER! even the unforgiving Oasis adores these lads and that's something. their beats are grimy, their riffs are heavy, their sound is dirrrrty and ultimately, they are PUKKA (=the real deal. and did you know, as much as that is a Jamie Oliver catchphrase..its actually a hindi word and a tamil one too i think. like 'pakka tamilian'....represent! :D )
vocals that ooze attitude are just oh so sexy. for "type the video title in the box above", i recommend

and you know what? Zane Lowe played Empire, Kasabian's first track off their latest album, way back in july..when i conveniently chose to give up Radio 1 for a bit. this post would have been done a lot earlier dammit.
as for the song that's playing now, "Shoot The Runner", its been described as "a glam rock stormer with subtle electronic undertones to give it that distinct British edge". absobloodylutely. (i swear i can't remember who i was rattling off to about glam rock last week!) and while i'm at it, might as well plug all the other 'bri'ish" bands i love but i havent plugged enough cos of my git-like tendencies. think The Darkness, Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys and they're more australian really, but Wolfmother too. harking back to the days of Led Zeppelin and the like...i liiiike.
oh and their view on emo: "All it causes is moaning teenagers'' *stifled laughter*
kasabian is endoftheworld genius. celebrate with cheap champagne. don't get it twisted, keep it locked.
