very suave, no? that's jay kay for hugo boss thanks very much :) he and his penchant for fast cars..just two weeks ago i was watching Top Gear Xtra on BBC Prime (with the v lovely Richard Hammond..bless him) and Jay was on and this fella has the best lap time of all the celeb guests they've had on..trust him to do that! and it doesn't hurt one bit that he's mates with Jamie Oliver. its perfection i tell you, my two favouritest british blokes EVER. just last sunday, joliver was on Top Gear too and he equalled Gordon Ramsay's time *snickers* and if you watch as much jamie oliver as i do(ha! i be the jamie oliver snob :P), you would've known that jamie dropped by jay's to whip up a spot of sunday roast and they both got thrown in the pool by the end of the episode *grin* and might i add that jay has GORGEOUS cars..a nice mix of old and new.sew-eeet..
for a complete list, wiki jason kay but in the meantime, a few highlights are the aston martin db5, a bentley continental coupe(the one that he drove to the booze store with jamie to get a coupla six packs), a ferrari ENZO *gasp* and my personal fave, a lamborghini miura in scarlet.
but whatever the case, i hope and pray (almost) everyday that jamiroquai will think about dropping by Singapore again. i was young and naive and not cool enough to go for his concert at the indoor stadium dammit, when he came in jan 02. but i AM going for shankar ehsaan and loy's gig at kalaa utsavam and as for robbie williams, i'm still hoping that he suddenly decides to uncancel his Asian tour dates. i was crushed when i first heard the news but still there's this glimmer of hope in me that he'll come *clasps hands in prayer*
i don't give a toss about what supernova thinks..toby should've won really. but all the same, i adore lukas (ESPECIALLY since he performed BOTH 'fix you' and 'bittersweet symphony' at the finale show..both songs which JUST SO HAPPEN TO BE on my list of top-10-songs-but-i-cant-decide-which-is-tops) and headspin..everytime i hear it, my heart feels like breaking. its powerful stuff, what comes out of this chap's mouth.
he sounds EXCELLENT in the studio..but live, i'm not so sure. he doesn't have toby's spunk but he DOES have a mick jagger-esque swagger and that sense of the all-elusive staying power that great rock frontmen have. i just get that vibe off him. and his upper register is mind blowing..it made the hair on my arms stand. and his style is PHWOAR if i were to describe it in one word hehe..and togs be damned, all i want for deepavali is a J.Lindeberg white belt and some denim, baby!
