i feel obligated to blog.

let's see, chels got drawn against barca (oh God, not again! *dejected*) let's just hope this time round things work out for the better. and its nice to know that they're going on with spiffy new black (with wide pinstripes) kits. classy-looking stuff.

moving along, i realise that i really genuninely do love cricket cos i've stuck with it for so long and i look forward to every training session, which is an indicator for me that its doing me good. but truly, its that twice a week for 2 hours each time where i get to play hard and there's nothing more valuable than that when college life is as mad hectic as it is. there's nothing more satisfying than thunking one outta the boundary, or hitting a wicket or catching an air ball. and not to mention, the company's great. the girls are a lovely bunch and we all get along pukka.

this is but a portion of the entire gang.. but now, with members leaving to make their mark on other CCA's, the numbers have dwindled to 16-20 girls max per training. which is interesting..we get more batting time, individual attention from the coach and the like, but its quite regrettable that some of them had to leave. oh well...

and yesterday cemented my saints pride. what a fantastic and momentous occassion. and i really do think we have the bestest school song EVAAA. and not to mention, there was a chocolate fondue fountain at the first-rate reception dinner after the whole ceremony:AWESOMENESS! well yeah, after much hogging and uncouth behaviour(by all the students who congregated around the dessert table), the fountain started spouting a congealed cocoa mess, but it was good stuff anyways!

anyways, moving on to less school related blahdy blah, the nominees for this year's mercury prize have been announced! lovely. arctic monkeys are in (no surprises there) and Thom Yorke's 'The Eraser' (haven't heard the album, but we're talking about frickin THOM YORKE here..if he wasnt nominated, it'd have been an outrage) and there's also this asian lady called Zoe Rahman, whose part bengali and all i can say is that her music sounds very ethereal. essentially she's a pianist and a jazz artist and you can check her out at www.zoerahman.com. and Muse too! woah, what a lineup this year. its gonna be a tough one. hopefully we won't have what happened last year when Antony and The Johnsons of ALL people bagged it. that was a a very wtf moment.

and kick me, just kick me. missing Womad this year, which means missing Musafir Gypsies of Rajsthan and Radio Mundial. daaaaarn!! x3. i can;t keep doing this man. missed so many concerts this year already. we must do all this in our youth, no? do it while we still can. and IF ONLY gramophone would stock mixtapes or something with massive attack+ nusrat fateh ali khan remixes. i need some good music.

to end off:
