thank the heavens roger won. i was being an ass by purposely supporting baghdatis but i guess i was just so blown away by the fact that a virtual unknown unseeded junior champion could've made it all the way to the finals. federer might've dropped the first set, but he came back harder better faster and stronger than marcos ever could have. he PROVED why he was the champ.i first cried cos marcos had worked so hard but he was fighting a battle that he couldnt possibly have won,cos of his stupid calf cramp. and he forgot to thank his girlfriend ..wah heart pain man.she was there at every match and got more camera time than any of the other player's loved ones and he FORGOT to thank her. if i were her i would've walked out of there man. he DID tell the mc to help add in the bit about thanking her and congratulating federer later on(cos he forgot to do that too), but DUDE! what's done is done.
the next time i cried was because the hard as nails,usually emotionless federer broke down.he cried and cried and i couldn't take it either and it was so embarrassing cos my family friends were over at my house for a CNY gathering if thats what i should call it. i could tell that they weren't trying to look my way but were stealing looks out of the corner of their eye,but ya know, if its gotta come out, its gotta come out. but yes, real men DO cry. so there.
before this match there was the mixed doubles finals with mahesh bhupathi and martina hingis playing against..erm..i forgot their names.some russian woman and some nestor guy from canada. i only watched it cos of bhupathi and hingis lah. WOOHOO they won! the commentator kept refering to mahesh as "hesh" which sounded like some sorta drug.but nevermind about that. he has a really unique serve..i dunno i guess its some indian thing cos leander paes had a similar style :P and women in tennis- please get sports bras thank you very much.
