WWWWWWOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOjust got back from the bsb concert at the singapore indoor stadium and DAMN IT WAS ABSOBLOODYLUTELY FANTASTIC LIKE HELL AND I"M SO CHUFFED THAT THEY STOPPED BY IN SINGAPORE and i should really stop using caps now. my throat is sore from screaming and there's a ringing sound in my ear reminescent of the kind i had after the linkin park concert and i think i cried tears of joy somewhere along the way too.
KEVIN RICHARDSON my hero! in the pic! like practically everyone in the audience brought their cameras LOL and there i was trying my best to smuggle it in wi thout getting caught. but what was even better was that our seats got UPGRADED! i'm not sure why but WHO CARES?! we even got to enter through the premier entrance and had to be security checked and all! scareh..so instead of being on the raised seats(which was what a $160 ticket was supposed to get us), we were on ground level with the VIP's who paid 250 bucks!! (those particular tix weren't sold to the public) i think i was like 20+ rows away from the stage and when the show started(20 mins late), all of us like stood on our seats ok! and the usherers (is that the right word?) had to like flash their lil torchlight thingy's in our faces to get us off the chairs :P what surprised me the most was the number of guys present. as in, there were groups of them ok. and just like the girls they sang along to every lyric and screamed girly screams..brilliant.
all of the guys were spot on vocally 98% of the time. nick was really really pudgy but he redeemed himself by playing the guitar during "climbing the walls" and "just want you to know" and doing all his high pitchy bits perfectly, AJ is the hottest bad boy in a boy band i have ever seen and damn he can sing!, howie d kept doing lil jon's trademark "what!" which was kinda irritating but he was rather low key throughout the concert, bryan sure knows how to work a crowd and he's SO goofy :D, and Kev...ah kev *sighs*..love him to bits. everytime he did his part of any of the songs i was taken to a higher place.mr piano. he is the glue of bsb and the guiding force; the elder brother figure and the support system. the tallest and handsomest of em all!!! *woot*
and they haven't lost their moves yaar! considering paula abdul used to be their choreographer(i dunno if she still is..probably not), they're still kickin it yo! they got some PHAT moves to boot. esp when they incorporated that bit from ludacris' song "when i move you move-just like that". it got hot in therrrrre ya'll! still as slick as ever. from the "all i have to give" hat twirling, to the "everybody" zombie-move thingy, to the "larger than life" komo arigato mr roboto bit, they got it all down pat. and howie said they'd be back in 10 years time!! *fingers and toes crossed!* i dunno if that's possible really, since they'll be in their late 30's and early 40's by then, but if they DO hold out, then they would achieved ICON status like metallica and aerosmith and janet jackson(i'm refering to mtv icon :P )
they performed almost ALL of their greatest hits YAY! and the new stuff off Never Gone which was great too but the crowd really dug all the good ole stuff(well, duh!) and everyone sang and jumped and swayed and screamed together. not as loud as the ppl at the LP concert but pretty responsive all the same. and nick tried to get the crowd to sing the chorus of "smells like teen spirit"! luckily a few of us in the audience actually knew the lyrics lah, if not damn malu :P
but one of the most memorable moments was when kev asked everyone to hold their cellphones up in the air so it was a mass of glittery lights in the darkened indoor stadium.that was just beautiful. and i also remembering him saying "you know its so amazing,we're halfway around the world and here you guys are singing our songs"..and something about feeling blessed if i'm not wrong.
euphoria, bliss, glee, ecstacy, elation, rapture wadeva you wanna call it, i felt it at the concert.it was almost life-changing, not unlike what the LP concert did for me. thank you GOD, sony bmg, samsung, harvey norman, whatever airline it was they were on, the hotel they stayed at and everyone who made this concert possible. they were the first band i was a PROPER fan of(eg; pre-ordering CD's at hmv, tshirts, keychains, posters, vcd's, karaoke cd's the WHOLE shebang) and i am truly grateful that i got to watch them live in concert. now its time to deal with the withdrawal systems by listening to all their albums over and over and over again..
everybody groove to the music, every body jam!
