yes i'm back hello long time no see..(daymn..i seem to be saying long time no see alot these days. just ask manfred. thats my opening line. no more anjacks handshakes for us.how sad)

ok sorry about that. only i understand that but what the hell its only MEANT for me to understand.anyways, i've only got one more paper for my prelims..the all glorious lit. its not tmr so i can relack for a bit(its godsend i tell you, this relack-ing time)
i had e math today which was hellish. it wasnt hellish in the sense that i couldnt do it. its just that the paper was a labourious task meant for farm workers. THREE GRAPH QUESTIONS AND ONE LOCI! what the heelllllll! what was she thinking? and even though 2and a half hours sounds like a really long time to do a 12 question paper..honey, you have NO IDEA.

let's see, what'd i do today?(in order)
turned on the idiot box(aka the telly)
watched a bit of children of the corn(weirdass movie man)
watched oprah
watched peter pan the movie in between( that american kid who played peter pan was BORN to play the boy who never grows up and yay for jason isaacs!)
watched tru calling after that
had naan and palak paneer for lunch(yumtastic!! mushed up spinach and cottage cheese never tasted so good)
and now i'm here..doesnt seem like i did much did i?
oh well..the only reason why i came online was to check whether anyone had replied to my messageboard posting on the BBC messageboards. and guess what? WHOOPDEEDOO!

NIHAL HIMSELf REPLIED! praise the lord! well of course he would reply, the post was directed at him innit. Nihal btw, is one of the two hosts on the show that i listen to every week on BBC Radio 1 called Bobby Friction and Nihal. they play all this fantastic british asian urban music.you have to hear it to believe it.

raja raja sozha - anjaxive_wunderkind 3rd post - 19 Sep 2005 09:39 hey nihal i've been meaning to ask if you yourself were sri lankan tamil(or are you sinhalese?) and either way can you speak tamil? I think its excellent stuff that track, givin tamil a platform right up there next to punjabi music and the likes. thank you so much for bringin it in nihal. ever since i started listening to the show early last year, i've always wondered where the tamil music was since this is a Asian station and all. but whatever the case, i hope to hear more tamil stuff and have i mentioned HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU GUYS!?! re: raja raja sozha - Nihal A 909th post - 19 Sep 2005 19:20 Hi anja, I am sri lankan first and foremost. Krishan's track is really really beautiful. In the past we have played Chakrasonic and Hyperkinetix both tamil rap crews from malaysia. I have known Krishan for quite a while as he was a part of the ill noize crew which was made up sinhalese and tamil people. As international peace day approaches (on wednesday) it is even more important that a new generation heals the troubles of the past. It sounds a little utopian but let's all hope it can happen with music playing it's little part in the process.

re: raja raja sozha - Mulher 1st post - 20 Sep 2005 16:43 I must say, I do like this tune a lot! The gal's voice is really something. This and the Hyperkinetix tune are very different to the type of music that is often heard, and interestingly, quite different styles of sounds when pitted against each other!
I think the tamil lyrics really brings a different dimension to the sound of the music.
I am going to try and catch it again tonight, unless you save me having to worry about it and play it again tomorrow? Please?

what a fantastically diplomatic answer. and its not the first time i've been mistaken for anja (even during the time i DID spell out my name in full..not all that anjaxive wunderkind bollocks..haha) and now i really dunno how to reply. i dont wanna sound like some starstruck overreacting cantbelievemyluck kid or summat. must have some class you know..

since i havent blogged in ages, i'll try to recall some major events that happened to me over this time period(not in any particular order)
  1. i borrowed G's copy of Dynamite by jamiroquai..its so good, i think i'll get my own copy
  2. i aced my humans and bombed my math and sciences for my mock prelims but i still managed to jump ten points (i am so glad that i made my dad getting me the Neeon worth it..if not the guilt would've killed)
  3. i learnt that i do well overall on alternate tests..so since i did well for my mocks, i'll probabaly drop again for the actuals..which is the last thing i'd want. and i have this impression in my mind that i'l spend the first three months in NYJC which is quite a cool thought since its RIGHT OPPOSITE my house. its seriously a 1 minute stroll)
  4. i watched "You GOt Served" finally. now i got more moves for grad ball night..haha..watch out guys!
  5. i've been following rockstar INXS since the third episode and religiously wathced it even throughout my mocks and my actuals. i SO want Mig Ayesa to win. today's the final episode. MiG is PERFECT for the band; he's aussie, he's not too young not too old, he looks great, he sounds fantastic, he's musically inclined, he has such an amiable personality(even though i'd prefer a bit of a bad boy edge on a rock group lead singer) and he has TONNES of stage experience. its an OUTRAGE if he doesnt win.

another contestant, Marty Casey, wrote this brilliant song called trees. the chorus goes like this:

"it'll be you and me, up in the trees

and the forest will give us the answers

it'll be you and i, up in the sky

it's a combination for disaster"

6. i've been watching the EPL.i cant believe just a couple of years ago iwas like," soccer is the boring-est thing EVER, especially EPL", and NOW, i watch it like a soccer crazy brit on welfare who should actaully be working. i know i'm SUPPOSED to be a manchester united, real madrid and portugal fan..but only the latter 2 still stand. you can kill me later for being a traitor. my new fave team is..wait for it...CHELSEA!! and contrary to popular belief, i dont support them JUST cos they won the big kahuna ,okay? if i were that ficklle and shallow, i would've been an arsenal fan a long time ago. but chelsea, oh chelsea, is an absolutely fantabulous team to wacth on the pitch. their communication, their united colours of benetton-like international appeal but most of all, their leadership. YES. i'm talking about jose mourinho and more importantly JOHN TERRY. i'll say it right here right now, I'm in Like With John Terrrrrrrrrryy!!! He's the best defender in the world hhands down! he does more work than the goalie for pete's sake! he's an excelent captian AND team player. i dunno if he's married though. that'd be such a heartbreaker. and his HAIR! oh my gosh, his hair..its sucha frickin cool cut! so well styled! and his arse is in demand i tell you. you should see the way the other MALE footballers grope him, unintentionally of course.

7. I've also been watching bits of vasantham star. i must say, Shabir's quite the charmer ain't he? sigh.....waht a lovely sight he is. he's got the entire package yaar! (minus the intelligence quotient..he doesnt look particularly brainy but you cant have EVERYTHING. unless you're rodrigo santoro aka hotness walks on earth. i hope he wins. and to think, i knew devarajan before he became famous.

my gosh i've blogged quite a bit haven't i? well now i'm gonna upload some photos in from my NZ trip. aiight..till next time..
